Asia Arts Net Annual Conference 2000
Introduction
Asia Arts Net 2000 Conference, was held on May 1st to 4th 2000 at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology University Center. For the first time, Hong Kong hosted a major cross-cultural prgram with artistic directors of major art organizations, researchers, scholars and cultural policy makers coming from 14 East and Southeast Asian cities. It is hope that through dialogue and discussion of the common concerned problems, a solid foundation for long term regional networking of arts and culture can be laid. The conference includes city cultural report, cultural forum, cross-cultural performing arts and visual arts program and critic sessions.
City Cultural Report from 14 Asian cities will provide a comprehensive overview of arts and cultural development of respective cities. Each city report will cover cultural performing arts and visual arts program and critic sessions.
